Moss Vale Civic Centre Refurbishment
The Moss Vale Civic Centre was built in 1961 and later extended in 1983. It is a two-story structure of masonry construction and is situated at the edge of the Moss Vale town centre on a corner allotment bounded by Elizabeth Street to the west, Donkin Ave to the north and Kirkham Street to the south.
The Civic Centre is a vital piece of community infrastructure that provides a place for the community to meet in formal and informal settings. It includes the Council Chambers, Moss Vale Branch Library and a range of civic facilities and services.
The project involves extensive internal and external refurbishment, construction of a new library and refurbishment and fitout of the Council offices, whilst maintaining full operation of the facility for staff and public. Extensive consultation, planning, risk management and strategic scheduling of work has been critical in maintaining continuity of the Councils day-to-day activities and minimising the impact on staff and visitors.
